Yet another gem you will only see at a jewellery boutique specializing in coloured stones.  This is a gemologist's or gem dealer's gem: chrysoberyl.  This year green beauty is well-know and appreciated by us but not well enough known by consumers.  This oval gem measures 10.16 x 7.11 mm and weighs 2.30 ct.  I've had it in my collection for a while waiting for the 'right' design to show it off.  Perfect cutting by a master cutter has brought out the maximum sparkle and colour saturation of this beauty.  Set in platinum.
