Dorset Bear

This bear was commissioned by the Canadian Museum of Civilization in 1997. It is a replica of an Inuit amulet originally carved in tusk from the Dorset period of Inuit culture. Possibly flying, possibly lifting himself on to a pan of ice, certainly cute.  Length about 32 mm tip-to-toe.
